New York Attorney General Faces Federal Financial Fraud Charges

A national judicial panel has indicted the New York attorney general over allegations of financial misconduct this past Thursday, according to someone with knowledge of the case.

US attorneys rarely address such panels.

Halligan was installed the position last month after the president grew impatient with the pace of investigations against his rivals.

It comes two weeks after Halligan obtained indictments against James Comey.

Comey denied the charges recently.
