The England midfielder Must Eliminate the Immature behavior to Secure a Star Role With Tuchel.

Should Bellingham wants to fight his way once again into England’s best squad, the smart move to cut out the unnecessary reactions. His response when he saw that he was being shown following a night of inconsistency in Tirana was not good enough.

"I prefer not to make more out of it but I stick to my words 'attitude matters' and respect for the teammates who enter the game," commented the coach. "Choices are taken and you need to comply when you're on the field."

Bellingham has to learn. There was no call for a tantrum. The captain had recently scored to make England two goals ahead in a dead rubber qualifier, there were six minutes left and Bellingham, following an inconsistent display, received a caution for bringing down Armando Broja. This was hardly a questionable change. Indeed it would have been unwise for the manager to not substitute him given that there was a risk Bellingham would make himself ineligible of the first match of the World Cup by picking up a another booking.

Drawing Attention on Himself

But Bellingham made himself the center of attention. No one could overlook the player's disappointment as he realized that he was going to make way for another player. He flung his arms in the air and although he exchanged a handshake on his way to the touchline there was no doubt that the manager did not appreciate it.

Here lies the test facing Bellingham. He congratulated Marcus Rashford for delivering the cross for Harry Kane to score his second of the night, but everything else was counterproductive. There was no chance arguing was going to change Tuchel’s mind. The coach has stressed repeatedly following squad protocols and the value of acting professionally.

Under Scrutiny

Bellingham, left out of the team last month, has been under scrutiny upon his return to the squad this month. Essentially he was being assessed and his actions haven't benefited him by reacting to coming off the pitch as England rounded off a flawless qualification run by overcoming a tough opposition from Albania.

The System and the Setup

As a result it's unclear on how the squad perform optimally including Bellingham. What we saw was inconclusive. There was experimentation from the manager early on. Under him, England have gained England organization and direction lately, using a holding player, a central midfielder, a playmaker and out-and-out wingers, but the approach changed in this match. Quansah was handed his international debut, Wharton was in the starting lineup for England and the use of Stones as an auxiliary midfielder meant there was similar look to Manchester City’s team that won three trophies.

Inconsistent Display

Bellingham had ups and downs. He created an opportunity for Eberechi Eze during the second half but at times seemed too desperate to impress. He made many poorly executed passes. A pointless clash against an opponent at the beginning. England's play was messy after halftime. One Albania chance followed Bellingham gave the ball away. His caution occurred when an opponent took the ball from Broja and committed a foul on the attacker.

Substitutes Decide

Ultimately the squad's strength proved crucial. Tuchel threw on the Manchester City player, who looked better suited to the position occupied by Bellingham during the first half, and Bukayo Saka. Eventually Saka delivered a corner for Kane to score the first goal. It was a reminder that corners and free-kicks will be crucial at the World Cup.

Bridge Still Stands

However, all talk was about Bellingham. The brilliance of Rashford’s assist for Kane’s header was a little lost in the ridiculousness of the Rogers substitution. At the end, the focus was on him. Tuchel walked up behind him and pushed Bellingham in the direction of the English fans. Their relationship is not damaged. The coach isn't ready to abandon Bellingham yet. Yet whether he is willing to grant him a starring role is not guaranteed.
